  • Private GP and prescription service

for residents of the EU & the UK

We make private healthcare affordable. 365 days a year.

Now with e-prescriptions using the cross-border SRI Format Romania system.

Dr. Roxana Panaitescu - "We care for you on every single day."

The waiting times for an appointment with a GP are clearly too long in the EU and the UK, and private practices are too expensive. We fix both. Despite Brexit, it is still possible for UK residents to get low-cost, private and telemedicine treatment from the continent. Naturally, this is even more true for EU citizens who live within the Union. With us, it's easy. The doctors on our platform accept any patient (no emergencies). With us there is no paperwork and you enjoy the service of doctors who are located in the European Union, all of them with many years of experience.

  • Head Physicians

We are a small team of front line physicians with their own clinics, or working for the state.

That makes us unique as online doctors.

    Dr. Martin Kramer

    General Practitioner (GP)

Born in the eastern heart of Europe into a German speaking family of Transylvanian Saxons, Dr. Kramer studied medicine in the USA, Asia and the EU. He then completed his residency training in several hospitals in the EU and worked as a resident, and later as a senior physician in the internal medicine department of major hospitals as well as in private clinics. Currently, he is a senior physician in a clinic in the southern part of the EU and is also engaged in providing telemedicine. His speaks German, English, Romanian and, only in private, Japanese.

    Dr. David Moradi

Internist / Family Medicine (GP) / Public Health

Dr. Moradi is the ideal person for an international telemedicine service. Born to an Armenian-Russian father and an Austrian mother in Mazandaran on the Caspian Sea, his life path took him to Europe and to Brazil, where he was appointed to the civil service. He meets all legal requirements to practice medicine in several EU countries, is and is internationally connected through open WHO. What is more, Dr. Moradi is also authorized and obliged by his state-regulated position to act as a Brazilian medical officer wherever he resides and is requested as such. Dr. Moradi is also specialized in the treatment of Covid and Long Covid and qualified in dermatology screening (dermatoscopy).

    Dr. Vanessa Schmidt

    General Practitioner

As the second physician of Dr. Kramer's practice in Hermannstadt, Dr. Vanessa Schmidt has also been available EU-wide via privateGP since October 1, 2022. She has been working with Dr. Kramer for a long time, enjoys doing so, and has kept the practice running as an indispensable multi-talent during the almost three-year phase of the move to the new practice premises. She is greatly appreciated by the patients of Dr. Kramer's surgery for her expert, warm-hearted and hands-on style.

    Dr. Jonathan Kramer

    Internist | General Practitioner

With Dr. Jonathan Kramer, the tradition of the Kramer family of physicians is being passed on to the next generation. Like his father, uncle (with whom he works together), aunt and cousin, he has chosen general and family medicine as his field of work. He is a fully trained internist and physician by tradition and passion.

    Dr. Adrian Tudor

    GP / Family Doctor

In London and other major cities in particular, a two-tier society has emerged: on the one hand, those people who have to struggle with the NHS and, on the other, the super-rich who pay hundreds of pounds without batting an eyelid just to have a posh private doctor prescribing them a cold medicine. We are here to put an end to this madness and continue to provide affordable private EU healthcare to residents of the UK. That’s why we are here with a network of freelance GPs based all over the EU and the UK who meet the high quality standards of privateGP.

    Dr. Didier Martin

General Practitioner for over three decades.

The UK is rightly proud of the post-war settlement that was intended to deliver free healthcare to everyone. But let’s be honest, in many region and cities the NHS has become dysfunctional. Even before the pandemic, the NHS waiting figures were dire, with almost 5 million people in the UK awaiting surgery. The NHS itself admitted in February 2020 that almost three quarters of a million patients were waiting more than 18 weeks for a referral. We have decided to provide you an alternative.

    Dr. mr. NicoIe FeIdmann

    Psychosomatic Medicine

Psychosomatic medicine with a focus on behavioral therapy and psychoeducation in the case of physical illnesses is Dr. Feldmann's specialty. She is respected among colleagues and patients throughout Europe for her precision in diagnostics, recognition of correlations and a pragmatic approach to her therapeutic methods, all of which can also unfold their full effect in telemedicine. The entire privateGP team is delighted to have her on board.

    Dr. Alexander Freudig

    Family doctor / GP

Dr. Alexander Freudig is a skilled general practitioner with a passion for helping his patients achieve optimal health and wellness. With years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Freudig is dedicated to providing personalized care and attention to each of his patients. Dr. Freudig's approach to healthcare is patient-centered, focusing on preventative care and lifestyle interventions to promote long-term health. He believes that every patient is unique and takes the time to listen to their concerns, answer their questions, and develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs.

    Dr. Dr. Dieter Mahr

    Radiologist

Dr. Dr. Dieter Mahr is privateGP’s consulting radiologist and at privateGP your expert for a reliable second opinion. Whether it's X-rays, CT and MRI scans, or even PET results: hardly anything escapes the sharp eye of this extremely experienced radiologist who has been practicing since 1980 and also holds a second doctorate in physics. His profound experience allows him a professional ease in his interactions, which makes him very popular with his patients.

    Stand-by team

    General Practitioners

Around 45 doctors in the EU, UK and EAA are also freelance members of privateGP on a sporadic basis. They make it possible for privateGP to provide a high quality medical service 7 days a week.

Using privateGP means enjoying an affordable medical service that is flexible and responsive. We are always just a message or a call away. Thanks to direct chat and video-consultations we are wherever you are.

We started up to cater for residents of the EU and the UK in order to address their medical needs with a minimum of inconvenience and disruption. Our patients include busy individuals and corporate client which enables us to understand the importance of busy schedules and do our best to offer a range of options to suit every lifestyle and to fit in with the demands of work and family, and get you back on your feet as soon as possible.

We aim to deliver the most highly efficient and affordable private medical service. We appreciate our patient's busy schedule, and also understand that certain patients wish to have some extra privacy.

Our focus is on swift and carefully made diagnoses, usually we offer a range of options to suit the individual and situation. We don’t believe that one size fits all and try to funnel all patients through the same process, we focus on patient needs and preferences. Our team includes General Practitioners from the entire EU, and if we don’t have the exact specialist you need, we will refer you to the appropriate expert.

We are not in a hurry

You may have experienced how difficult it can be to get an appointment at a physician who works with the public health insurances systems in the EU and the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. What is more, GP consultations in the United Kingdom and Germany are among the shortest in Europe at just over 7 to 9 minutes on average.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

A consultation with a privateGP doctor lasts up to 30 minutes, dependent on the plan you choose. This gives our doctors enough time to get to know you, as an individual, and gives you enough time to get to know and trust them. These longer consultations allow our GPs to explore your medical history, your family's history, your needs and circumstances, and to assess your health as a whole person rather than just focussing on any symptoms you have at the time.

In case of an EMERGENCY please call a local ambulance, now!

Why telemedicine is often the better option in non-emergency cases

Telemedicine is the practice of providing medical care and consultation remotely, typically via telecommunication technologies such as videoconferencing, phone calls, and messaging. In recent years, telemedicine has become increasingly popular as a way to receive medical care, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are several reasons why telemedicine may be faster, safer, and more social than traditional in-practice medicine.

First, telemedicine can be faster because it eliminates the need for patients to physically travel to a medical facility. This can be especially useful for patients who live in rural areas or who have mobility issues, as they can receive care from the comfort of their own home. Additionally, telemedicine appointments can be scheduled more quickly than in-person appointments, as there is often less demand for virtual appointments than in-person ones.

Second, telemedicine can be safer because it reduces the risk of infection transmission. In the current pandemic, this is especially important, as in-person visits to medical facilities can increase the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. By receiving care remotely, patients can avoid potentially risky environments and protect themselves and others from infection.

Finally, telemedicine can be more social because it allows patients to connect with their healthcare providers and other patients in a virtual setting. This can be especially beneficial for patients who may feel isolated due to physical or mental health issues, as it allows them to connect with others and receive support from their healthcare team.

But what is more, it’s a huge benefit that telemedicine allows healthcare providers to reach a wider range of patients. This is especially useful for patients who live in remote or underserved areas, as they may not have access to in-person medical care. Telemedicine can also be beneficial for patients who have difficulty traveling due to physical or mental health issues, as it allows them to receive care from the comfort of their own home.

Another benefit of telemedicine is that it can improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery. By eliminating the need for patients to travel to a medical facility, telemedicine can reduce the burden on healthcare systems and free up resources for other patients. This can also lead to cost savings for both patients and healthcare providers, as telemedicine appointments may be less expensive than in-person visits.

Additionally, telemedicine can improve patient outcomes by providing patients with more timely and convenient access to care. This can be especially important for patients with chronic conditions, as regular follow-up care is often essential for managing their health.

In conclusion, telemedicine offers many benefits that make it faster, safer, and more social than traditional in-practice medicine. By providing convenient and efficient access to care, telemedicine can improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden on healthcare systems.

The people without whom there would be no privateGP.

Owner 1 | Dr. David Moradi

He owns 50.01% of the privateGP platform and of its entire infrastructure but cannot make fundamental decision without the consent of the second, silent owner (see below).

    Owner 2 | DRBIM™

49.99% of this platform and its infrastructure is being held by a passive private investor from Germany with a “social mission” which has the right to veto major strategic decisions in regard to the privateGP platform and service design as they require a 65% majority. All other decisions can be made with 50.01 % of the shares.

    Managing Director | Dr. Panaitescu

She keeps privateGP on track. It is Dr. Panaitescu who ensures that all privateGP physicians get the latest relevant research results on their desk as quickly as possible. She stands like a rock for evidence-based medicine and the highest possible standard of care. Vetting new candidates who apply for a place on the privateGP platform is also happening under her watch. As the only female member of the management team, her voice counts twice in medically relevant management decisions.

  • Healthcare - Made in the EU & the UK

With privateGP you get healthcare at a very high European standard.

    We are EU-Citizens.

privateGP exists on the basis of EU laws and thus stands for careful and evidence based medicine “Made in the EU". All doctors who help patients on our platform within the EU are, without any exception, citizens and/ or residents of EU member countries.

    We are British, too.

The democratic decision of the people of the UK to leave the EU is one that we deeply respect. Through restructuring, we have managed to continue offering our services in the UK. Likewise, our entire non-medical administration remains in London.
